Romancing Lady Stone (School of Gallantry #3.5) by Delilah Marvelle

Every time I read a book by Delilah Marvelle, I come away in awe. Last night I couldn't sleep, I had just come off writing four reviews in the evening and my eyes were practically crossed. It was around 1am when I opened my Iphone's Kindle app and started reading Delilah Marvelle's ROMANCING LADY STONE and didn't put the phone down until the ending around 3:30am.

Handsome Russian, Konstantin Alexie Levin, had been a career criminal until he saves the life of  a Duc for the sole reason that it was the right thing to do, but life on the straight and narrow although the right path can be a destitute one. One night at the stroke of midnight, two questionable men meet with Konstantin to tell him that the Duc would like to compensate him for saving his life, and his fortune would be found in London. Well Konstantin always wanted to go to London and meet English women, he didn't know however that he would meet one sooner than expected.

She woke up in a daze with her head in his lap on a moving coach that was not the one she hired. Lady Cecilia was far from home and all alone. Where was her companion? Where was her money? Why was she groggy? Konstantin tries to tell Lady Stone what he believed happened to her. She had been drugged and placed in the carriage by thieves. Lady Stone, although quite composed was frantic inside, for her very reason for being in Russia was to stop her 21 year old son from marrying a aging actress and ruining his life and how would she do that in her current circumstances?

Konstantin reluctantly decides to be Lady Stone's savior and help her find her son before his departing to London to better his life. In the meantime, the stark attraction between the Russian former criminal and the English Lady sizzles within the carriage walls and by the time they reach lodgings the sexual tension is scorching. Lady Stone has been widowed for years now and even when she was married she was unfulfilled and unhappy. The chance at having even one night of complete passion stirs Cecilia into action and the next two days with Konstantin must fill her lifetime of loneliness. When Lady Stone explains to her lover that in London their relationship would  undergo extreme scrutiny and it would be the downfall for Cecilia's children to ever make good marriages, Konstantin is devastated by her cutting remarks.

Without a farewell Konstantin leaves a sleeping Lady Stone safely in the hands of her son and continues on his chosen path. Lady Stone awakens in the company of her son but when she finds her lover gone, she is shaken. She didn't want their relationship to end like it did.

What can I say? I am in awe. Although it was a novella, I did not feel cheated in any way. It was a wonderful story from the first word to the last,  perfection in  Delilah Marvelle fashion. ROMANCING LADY STONE is witty, exciting and very sexy. I find myself in love with the fact that Cecilia is a decade older than Konstantin and he makes nothing of it, in fact pursuing her all the more! Another winner for the phenomenal Delilah Marvelle.

Two Times as Hot (Oklahoma Nights #2) by CAT JOHNSON

The second book in Cat Johnson's Oklahoma Nights series, Two Times as Hot packs a punch for the petite teller of awesome tales.

It's wedding time for Becca Hart and Tucker Jenkins, which means all sorts of people who normally would be kept apart by the day to day, come together to party. Lieutenant Colonel Logan Hunt was intent on remaining the career military man but when he sets his eyes on his best friend's hot little future sister-in-law, sanity goes out the window. When he spies Emma Hart in the company of Bull Rider, Jace Mills, he gets a tinge of jealousy and he doesn't even know her yet.

Having been robbed of a hot night with a cowboy, Emma Hart returns to Oklahoma, the scene of the crime, still the deprived woman. When Jace appears to be apologetic about their last ill-fated encounter, Emma decides to give him another chance until he totally messes up again. Enter wickedly handsome Logan to take up where Jace missed out, but things are different with Logan and Emma. They have a true liking for one another, mutual respect and admiration, but they still both only want a good time.  Hmmm, but can Emma go back to her old life and can Logan return to his without the pair missing out on the best things that have ever happen to them?

In true Cat Johnson tradition, things become really complicated really fast and the reader is in for a wild ride filled with seriously hot sex scenes mixed into this gripping story. Once again I remained awake while the sunrise began to peek through my window and I finally read the last page. Nary a boring moment in Two Times as Hot by the indomitable Cat Johnson. This installment of the Oklahoma Nights series comes your way September 24th, but I suggest you get to pre-ordering it now. It's one very awesome read and I know you will love it as much as I did.

ASHLYN MACNAMARA ~ A MOST DEVILISH ROGUE ~

We first meet George Upperton in Ashlyn MacNamara's debut novel, A Most Scandalous Proposal, where George's character stood out from the others as the snarky friend of the hero who gave us much in the way of sarcasm and comic relief. In A Most Devilish Rogue, George's character is more subdued and austere. This may be due to the facts that is life is not all he would like it to be. Upon his mistress, Lucy Padgett's claiming she is with his child and the appearance of Lucy's unsavory brother Roger who insists Lucy must be taken care of, George is backed in a proverbial corner. All comic relief out the window now.

George retreats to his friend, Benedict Revelstoke's home with his mother and sisters to ponder over what to do about his situation and possibly borrow money from his now happily married friend. When he comes upon a young boy struggling in the water outside the estate, George saves the little scamp and becomes acquainted with the boy, Jack and his pretty young mother, Isabelle who live in the village in a small home. Unbeknownst to George at the time, Isabelle is the daughter of an Earl who has been living in somewhat self imposed exile for the past six years, since she became pregnant and had Jack out of wedlock.

George and Isabelle are both very attracted to one another from the start, but Isabelle must keep out of the public eye or risk exposure and possible danger to the love of her life, little Jack. In addition, George has his own set of problems in the form of the Padgett siblings who live to wreak havoc on his very existence. When young Jack is kidnapped George once again comes to the rescue to aid in the search and includes Lord Revelstoke and company, which shocks Isabelle who feels the entire of London society has shunned her since her fall from grace.

One thing that Isabelle did not count on was the humanity George and his friends have and their ability to look into a person and see their worth for who they are, not for the amount of money they may or their title. Isabelle also has a slight chip on her shoulder in believing that she doesn't deserve any kindness and therefore relegates herself to her meager existence. Young Jack is a breath of fresh air. An old man in a six year old's body. I adore him in this story and I think that he has much to do uniting two very confused individuals. A Most Devilish Rogue is a good follow-up to Ashlyn MacNamara's first read. While I loved the George in A Most Scandalous Proposal I liked his transformation into the responsible George, the one falling for Isabelle despite all the issues surrounding them both.

Harcourt's Mountain by Elaine Dodge

The Wild Frontier of  British Columbia~

Luke Harcourt travels into town to purchase supplies for his homestead on his mountain. Little does he know at the time of his long trek in that he would return to his cabin with a wife.

Hope Booker wakes up with a huge knot on he head,  in the hold of a foul smelling "Bride" ship, headed to lands unknown to her.  She has no memory of how she got there and little of who she is.When she is dragged off the ship and onto a bidding block she is in shock. Luke Harcourt knew the minute he saw her from afar that she didn't fit in this questionable group of women being sold to the highest bidder. She was a lady, it was obvious even with her clothing in a tatters. Those who weren't bought as wives were sent to the local brothel to be prostitutes for the town big wig land baron and local crook Stephen Butler, where they inevitably died of disease or their mistreatment. Luke refused to let this happen to this lady and before his mind could think, his mouth spoke and bid for her. Before the deal is done, Hope refuses to be "married " to Luke until her explains the ramifications of her refusal.

From the get-go Luke let's Hope know that he will never put a hand on her whether it be in anger, or in lust, leaving Hope with glimpse of the honorable man Luke Harcourt is. When they arrive at Harcourt's Mountain after a week long trip, Hope is in awe of her surroundings and is determined to make her life there work. What does she have to lose?

Day by day, Luke realizes that he is becoming more and more attracted to his innocent wife and needs to hide his feelings. Hope wants so much to love Luke, but as long as she is only his purchased property and not his his wedded wife, she needs to keep her distance from Luke who believes that the piece of paper that was signed at the auction was a marriage certificate when it was actually a bill of sale.

So many obstacles are stacked up against this couple it seems they can never wade into shallow and steady waters. The appearance of Indians, wolves, a disgusting neighbor and an old acquaintance of Hope's makes for adventure and misadventure on Harcourt's Mountain. Once the reader thinks that all will be well, more disaster strikes to separate to newly in love Harcourts that takes extreme will and determination by both parties to overcome.

Harcourt's Mountain by Elaine Dodge is a brilliant love story set in extreme circumstances. Luke Harcourt is one of the most honorable heroes I have ever read. So honorable in fact that I would have liked to have smacked him upside the head a few times for not sharing his feelings with Hope. These star-crossed not quite lovers keep their distance while the reader bites their fingernails in anticipation. Hope evolves like a budding flower and watching her adapt to her new surroundings with such finesse is part of the draw to this adventure. I truly enjoyed Harcourt's Mountain by the very talented Elaine Dodge, and I give kudos to this South African native for writing about a land so far off and doing it so well. I recommend this tale to all and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Guest Reviewer Barb Hill-Kidd ~ HOPE SPRINGS (Compass Girls Series Book 2) by Jayne Rylon and Mari Carr.

The authors, Jayne Rylon and Mari Carr have continued the Compton Family saga.  We first met the 4 Compton brothers and watched them fall in love in the Compass Brothers Series.  The daughters of the brothers have grown up and are now looking for their true loves.
Hope Compton is the oldest child of the unconventional relationship of Silas, Lucy and Colby, (Northern Exposure-Compass Brothers Book 1).  As a teen, she realized that she yearned for the same type of relationship as her parents.  Out with her loser boyfriend, she is rescued from a gang rape by Wyatt and Clayton, two hot cowboys who work on her family’s ranch.  As Hope gets to know the two men she is optimistic that she can join their existing relationship.  She and Clayton have an instant understanding but Wyatt is unsure, afraid of the repercussions if it does not work.  While the threesome give into the sexual chemistry that sparks whenever they are near, Hope and her cousins must face the ramifications of her beloved grandmother’s Alzheimer’s.  The entire Compton family must face the future dealing with their matriarch’s disease.  Hope must be strong for her family while convincing her men that this is their chance at the love they all deserve.
A reader does not need to have read the prior books to enjoy Hope’s Spring however it will enhance the experience.  The authors do a wonderful job of not slowing down the pace of Hope’s story by giving too much backstory.  I am a huge fan of the Compton family.  In this book, I fell in love with the good-girl Hope and found Clayton and Wyatt worthy of her love.  This is a fast paced story that allows the reader to get to know Hope but keeps us updated on the other Compass Girls.  The sex scenes are hot and especially the m/m action.  However, this is a book that is story driven.  Vivi’s increasing problems with lucidity due to the ravages of Alzheimer’s are realistic and heart-breaking.  I cried over the barn scene.  This book packs a punch on many levels.  This series has stayed in my heart due to the strong storyline regarding Vivi’s illness and the pain that is causes her beloved family

KAT MARTIN'S ~ AGAINST THE MARK ~ (The Raines of Wind Canyon #9)

I have been a fan of Kat Martin since The Raines of Wind Canyon's first book, Against the Wind, which I read in April of 2011. I was a relatively new reader to the Romantic Suspense genre, and since having started these Kat Martin books, I have forged full speed ahead into each and every story that Kat has written. Kat is a genius when it comes to that mystery with romance thrown into the mix  That Alpha male with his protective instincts an intoxicating quality that Kat writes so well. No two stories are the same and no character similar. The Raines of Wind Canyon Series is in a class by itself and if you haven't started the journey yet. I recommend that you do!

Sexy as sin Private Investigator,Tyler Brodie was essentially a player. He wanted no long term relationships other than with his business associates, that is until he sets his eyes on the out of reach Haley Warren, who happens to be niece to Ellie, one of his most trusted friends. When Haley's step-mother calls Haley to tell her she believes Haley's father was murdered and did not die in a boating accident as was reported, Haley wants to know the truth. Having been estranged from her her father, James Warren, since his divorce from Haley's mother some years before, Haley had wanted to mend the rift, but never got that chance.

When Tyler sees the urgency in the tiny blonde's eyes to get to the bottom of the disturbing loss of her father, he knows regardless of whether it was an accident or murder, he would follow through to the end, because quicker than lightning, the player, Tyler disappears and protective and possessive Tyler makes an appearance. Haley tries to deny the mutual attraction, sure that once her questions are answered, she will return to mother and her existence in Chicago, but emotions heat up as the danger increases.

When Haley's life is endangered, full on Alpha male Tyler appears as well as his entire group of trustworthy friends to help with the investigation and keep Haley safe. Only thing is, these criminals are really bad news. When Tyler and Haley discover the theft of priceless artwork these wealthy men set loose a group of hardcore assassins to silence the work that James Warren had begun before his life was cut short and his daughter, Haley continues. Who comes out the victor is this game of death? Only by reading AGAINST THE MARK by Kat Martin will that question be answered.

In typical Kat Martin fashion, the reader is on the edge of their seat. This nail biting suspense keeps you wondering who will prevail in this tale of  murder and theft. I adore Kat's hero and heroine. Tyler Brodie is a confident and intelligent man, who knows the young Haley Warren is a bit naive, but that doesn't stop him from showing Haley what it could be like for two passionate people to let go. Haley actually does a lot of growing up in this short time, or should I say that her eyes are opened since all she ever knew is the world her mother told her about. The camaraderie between Tyler and his friends and how they accept Haley into their fold is a great addition to this story. I truly enjoyed AGAINST THE MARK by Kat Martin and I recommend it to all.

41/2 MOONS (Brilliant)

EXCERPT:
“I’ve got another client for you.  Tyler Brodie, I’d like you to meet my grandniece, Haley Warren.  Haley’s out here from Chicago.  Her grandmother was my sister.”
Just to regain a little of his dignity, Ty let his gaze roam over her, starting at the frosted-pink toenails peeking out of strappy high-heeled, open-toed sandals, sliding up a pair of long legs in snug fitting jeans, across that bare midriff with its glittering bellybutton ring over a set of nicely rounded breasts to a pretty face framed by long, softly curling honey blond hair.
She had big blue eyes, and an Angelina Jolie mouth that made him think of dirty sex.  Maybe she read his thoughts for a faint blush rose in her cheeks.
Good.  A little payback only seemed fair.
Besides, she was a real pleasure to look at.  Not beautiful in the classic sense like some of the women he knew, but with those dimples and big blue eyes, she was way beyond cute.
“Nice to meet you, Ms. Warren.”
The smile was gone and she assessed him coolly.  “Aunt Ellie tells me you’re a friend, as well as an investigator.”
“I like to think that’s true.”
“Of course it’s true,” Ellie said.  “That’s why I know we can count on Ty to help us.”
Wariness slid through him.  Ellie had a way of bringing him clients who were nothing but trouble.  “How’s that?”
“Well, you see, three months ago Haley’s father died when his power boat exploded.”
“I’m sorry for your loss,” he said to her.
Grief flashed in her eyes an instant before she glanced away.  “Thank you.”
“At the time everyone thought it was an accident,” Ellie continued, “a gas leak of some kind that turned deadly.  Haley’s stepmother doesn’t believe it.  About a month ago, Betty Jean started emailing Haley, trying to convince her to come to Los Angeles and help her find out the truth.”
Ty focused on the leggy blonde.  “And you think she’s right because...?”
“I don’t know if she’s right or not.  I’ve never met her.  Before he died, my father and I had been estranged for nearly five years, ever since he left my mother and ran off with another woman.”
“Betty Jean,” he said, just to make sure he was getting this straight.
“That’s right.  After he moved to L.A., Dad tried to mend our relationship, but I just...I couldn’t get past his desertion.”  She glanced down and her eyes misted.  “Now my father’s gone.”
Ty nodded, beginning to get the picture.  “So your dad’s dead and you regret not mending your fences.”
“Yes, I do.  Very much.  But the thing is, some of the things Betty Jean says make sense.  I owe it to my father to find out what really happened.”
He flicked a glance at Ellie, whose features looked a little too bland to suit him.  “I take it you’re here to convince me to help her.”
“That’s right.  You know how good you are at these things, Tyler.  Johnnie’s out of town on some case or other.  And Haley will be helping you.  That’ll save you from having to do everything by yourself.”
Haley would be helping him.  He could think of any number of things he’d like her to do for him, but none of them had anything to do with business.  The fact was Haley Warren was Ellie’s niece.  Seducing her probably wasn’t a good idea.
“Have you talked to the police?”
“Betty Jean has,” Haley answered.  “The police said there was nothing to indicate any sort of foul play.  But my stepmother isn’t convinced and if she’s right--“
“I’ll tell you what.  I’ll look into the circumstances of the accident, see if anything looks suspicious.  I’ve got friends in the department.  If something’s not right, I’ll talk to them myself.”
Haley reached over and caught his arm.  He felt a little zing of awareness and figured she must have felt it too since she stepped back as if she’d been burned.
She glanced away, took a deep breath and forced her eyes back to his face.  “I want to be involved in this, Mr. Brodie.  I need to find out for myself.  I owe it to my father to find out the truth.”

DANA MARTON'S DEATHWATCH ~BLOG TOUR & GIVEAWAY~

The only person who can identify the most notorious hit man in the country, Kate Bridges is running for her life. Murphy Dolan is in the Army Reserves, returning from his 2nd tour of duty, only to find a stranger hiding in his house. She's scared spitless. He's completely burned out on violence. Neither has any trust left to give.

Deathwatch Excerpt:
“Let’s try one more time.” Murph moved toward her. “Pretend I’m the assassin. Murph is dead out in the kitchen. You’re out of bullets and cornered.” He reached for her. “First choice?”
“Kill the bastard.” Kate grabbed for the barstool and whacked him in the head as hard as she could, but he twisted in the last second and the blow glanced off his skull.
He’d ordered her right at the beginning, fairly forcefully, to hold nothing back. And then he’d pushed and pushed, baiting and goading her. At this stage, if she maimed him, she figured he deserved it.
“Second choice?” He pushed forward with a growl.
“Incapacitate him then call 911.” She lunged forward instead of pulling back, and kicked at his most sensitive parts, but wobbled at the last second and missed by a fraction of an inch.
“Third choice?” He grabbed for her.
“Run like hell and live to see another day.” She put her head down, then yanked it up hard, smashing it into his chin so that his head snapped back and his grip on her slipped.
She ran for the stairs that led up.
He was on top of her in a second, bringing her down and pinning her. “Wrong move. What did we say about the stairs?”
“If I have a choice, go down.” The basement had an outside exit, while upstairs she could get trapped.
“Right.” He lifted his body off her and sat next to her, his eyes narrowing as he watched her struggle to catch her breath. His biceps bulged from under his black T-shirt that was barely wrinkled, while her shirt and pants looked like he’d mopped the house with her. Which, technically, he had.
She sat up. He was insanely strong. She hadn’t expected that, considering his injury. And he was fast. He didn’t have to think about what move he was going to make next. He fought on instinct, while her instincts pushed her to run away screaming.
Except when they pushed her to throw herself into his arms. She looked away from him, not wanting him to read her pitiful reaction in her eyes.
“I’m going to reinforce the rainspouts. Then you can go upstairs if you have no other choice, and climb down without breaking your neck.”
“I can break my neck even if the rainspout doesn’t break under me. Severe balance deficiency. Remember?”
He closed his eyes for a second. “All right. If at all possible, go for the basement.” He reached into his pocket and gave her a set of car keys.
“What’s this?”
“I got a rental today. It’s parked in front of 212 Summer Lane. You run out the basement door, cross the back neighbors’ yard. It’s a black Mustang. There’s some money and a backup gun in the glove compartment. If all else fails, you get in and drive away. Tank is full. It has GPS. Just drive and be safe.”
“And you?”
“Don’t worry about me.”
Tension filled the air between them as they stared at each other.
“I don’t want you to get hurt.”
“We’re going up against a master hit man. We’re going to get hurt. Our best case scenario is just not to be dead when this is over.”
She drew back, her limbs going cold suddenly. “Maybe we shouldn’t do this. I could just leave. I’m good at running. I’m a hell of a lot better at running than I am at fighting.”
“If all goes well, you won’t have to fight. I’ll fight for you. We discussed this already. This is the only way you’ll ever be free. This is your best chance. You have a partner this time, someone who’s been trained both as a cop and a soldier. And we know Asael is here, that he’s coming. He loses the element of surprise.”
He moved closer and took her hand. “If you want to be free…I’m pretty sure it’s one of those now or never things. We’ll set the trap for the day after tomorrow. I don’t want to wait too long, or he might make his move when we’re not expecting it.”
She nodded.
“We’ll make a show of me going off,” he said. “But I’ll circle back and come in through the back door. When he comes, I’ll engage him. You go call for help. If he gets through me, you run for your life. But it’s not going to happen. I’m going to handle him.”
He stood then reached out to pull her to her feet.
She hesitated a moment before she asked, “How is your shoulder?”
“I don’t even know what you’re talking about.”
“Right. That’s why you still favor your right arm.”
“I can use my left arm.” He put his left hand under her chin, tilting her face to him. Then he lowered his head to hers and kissed her.
Everything went still inside her as his warm lips touched hers. She could barely remember the last time she’d been kissed. She hadn’t realized how much she’d missed this, a man’s arms around her, his dark gaze boring into hers with scorching heat. And, boy, could Murph Dolan fix a girl with a look that sent tingles down all the way to her toes.
He smelled like man, tasted like coffee and felt like heaven.
Her eyelids fluttered closed, and she gave herself to the sensation of being pressed against his hard chest while his mouth explored her gently, teasing her, tasting her. His great warrior body vibrated with restrained need, but he took the kiss slowly.
He brushed his lips over hears in agonizingly slow motion, covering every nook and cranny, then catching her bottom lip between his teeth for a minute before he swept inside and tasted her fully, making her weak in the knees.
Maybe he remembered her balance issues, because he gathered her against him tightly. Part of her wouldn’t have minded staying like that forever.
“I wanted to do this from the moment I saw you sleeping in my bed,” he murmured against her mouth.
“I just wanted to shoot you,” she said the first thing that popped into her dazed mind, then caught herself and winced. “Sorry.”
He laughed as he stepped back. “That’s a very healthy survival instinct. We’re going to develop more of that in whatever little time we’ll be given.”

And then he attacked her.

Okay, the above version is the glamour version for press releases. The truth is that my path to publication was nothing but unglamorous. I wrote for 13 years and completed 4 books (as well as having others in various stages of completion) before I finally received a call from a Harlequin editor. I was beginning to wonder if I was being tenacious or just too dense to know when to quit. But it all worked out at the end! J I love, love, love writing and would spend all day in front of the computer if I could just break my family of the habit of wanting to eat and wear clean clothes. What’s up with that? But I must get up from the desk now and then, if only because my Internet connection goes down or my ancient PC overheats. Then I do enjoy cooking, knitting, hunting for treasures at the flea market, our Beagle, Peanut the Destroyer, and gardening.
I’d love it if you picked up one of my books and emailed me to tell me what you thought of it. I’ve been known to name characters after readers. Just ask Princess Judi.

TEXAS TWO STEP (Texas Montgomery Mavericks #1) by CYNTHIA D'ALBA

Six years after Mitch Landry broke off his very serious relationship with Olivia Montgomery with him using the excuse that she was very young and needed to date other people, the two are forced back into each other's company for their best friends' wedding. Much has happened in this time, both have been married and both divorced and now there's a child and a secret involved that can make or break their lives.

When the pretty blonde, Olivia, shows up at the airport to pick her ex- Mitch up at the airport she thought she might have put her feelings for the hot rancher aside. BIG MISTAKE. One look from Mitch and Olivia knows she going to be in big trouble, only thing, she has a super huge secret that she must keep from Mitch. Even though he says nothing to Olivia, Mitch is still in love with the feisty lady and when he arrives, it with hopes that they may rekindle what he basically threw aside.

Other factors may be strikes against this relationship though, such as a paleontologist ex- husband, a snot-nosed ex-wife and a cute as a button five year old. I will say no more, you just have to trust me on this and pick up Texas Two Step by Cynthia D'Alba and Texas Two Step: Prequel that gives the back-story to book one. What can I say? I picked this book up at 11pm last night as closed it on the last page at almost 3am this morning. I truly enjoyed this and I am eager to read any follow-ups to this series. Cynthia D'Alba is a great writer that keeps the reader's attention with her wit and her story. I highly recommend her reads!

JUST LIKE SO MANY OTHER OF MY MAINSTAY AUTHORS, I WAS VERY FORTUNATE TO MEET MARY WINE AT MY FIRST LORA LEIGH'S RAW IN 2011. SHE IS SO EASY TO TALK TO AND SO KNOWLEDGEABLE IN SO MANY AREAS. I LIKED MARY RIGHT AWAY AND CONSIDER HER A GOOD FRIEND. UNEXPECTED PLEASURES AND THE TROUBLE WITH HIGHLANDERS ARE MOST DEFINITELY TWO OF MY FAVORITES OF MARY'S AND I HOPE TWO AWESOME PEOPLE FEEL THE SAME WAY ABOUT THEM THAT I DO. GOOD LUCK!!!

When she’s not abusing a laptop, she spends time with her sewing machines…all of them! Making historical garments is her second passion. HIS SEDUCTION (MacGruder Brothers Series #5) by Diana Cosby

When Scottish Lady Rois Drummond believes her father, The Earl of Brom is about to be accused of treason to the Englishman Sir Griffin Wescott she steps forward and accuses Griffin of compromising her to deflect from the politics. What Rois doesn't think will happen ultimately happens when Griffin offers for her hand, knowing she is a liar and hoping she will speak the truth before the vows. Hmmmm and the plot thickens when Rois sticks her her lie and ends up Griffin's wife.

Rois goes into the marriage believing the worst about her new English husband, but soon realizes that her preconceptions were wrong. Sir Griffin not only is an honorable man, but he may just be the love of her life. Shame that it is that Rois simply can't tell the truth to her husband, but Griffin has secrets of his own. The politics of the time lead to a story filled with suspense, the romance is is passionate and real.

Rois comes off as impetuous and immature at first but evolves into a confident and honorable heroine. Griffin is the dream hero from the first page. He of course has his issues, but her always treats his woman with respect and understanding, even when he know she isn't forthcoming with him.

His Seduction is the 5th book in the epic MacGruder series. With each and every story Diana Cosby just keeps getting better and better. Her characters come alive with her story-telling and the reader becomes attached to each and every one. I highly recommend His Seduction as well as any other book in the MacGruder series.

Kimmie's Birthday Month of Giveaways ~~DAY 13~~ THE CIRCLE EIGHT: VAUGHN BY EMMA LANG RELEASE DAY GIVEAWAY

Hello all!! Today is day 13 of my BIRTHDAY MONTH OF GIVEAWAYS. Today on release day Tuesday, we have Beth Williamson writing as Emma Lang's The Circle Eight: Vaughn, which is book 4 in the Circle Eight Series. I was very fortunate to meet Beth Williamson for the first time at RAW2011 in Maryland. When I stepped into the hotel lobby with my sons to check in Beth shouted across the lobby, "There's my cousin from New York!"  Nothing has been the same ever since and I am proud to call this lady friend. Reading her books has never been a chore, on the contrary, sometimes they have to be pried from my hands. I can say that I have never been more proud of Beth for taking her Circle Eight series into the self-published zone where she can be herself. Vaughn is a fabulous story that I want to share with the whole world and I have just one signed print ARC to giveaway today. So good luck to all of you and Happy Release Day Beth!!!!!

The Cowboy Next Door

Cash Brothers Series

July 2013

Hard-working cowboy Johnny Cash has always been a protector to his little sister's best friend, sweet but tough cowgirl Shannon Douglas. It's pretty crazy for girls to ride bulls-yet it's her life to live. Then he realizes he's got some purely male instincts toward her, too. But absolutely no way can he fall for his boss's daughter-if he loses his job, there'll be hell to pay at home....

Shannon was raised to be strong and independent. She wants a national title so bad she can taste it-and she needs Johnny's help. His protectiveness drives her crazy...the same way his kisses do. But she's not about to hang up her bull rope because of him! Her heart says he's the one-but her own stubborn streak might push away the only man who might actually understand her.
